The product

These are the actual screens, not an illustration

Every image below is a photograph of the running application, taken by a script that signs in with a test profile and captures the real pages. When the interface changes, one command refreshes them all.

Animiyo overview with four summary tiles, the monthly spending chart, the breakdown by category and the weight trend

Overview

Pets you follow, upcoming due dates, active treatments and yearly spending, with the weight trend and the breakdown of costs by category.

Reminder centre with six upcoming due dates, two overdue and two suggestions computed from history

Reminder centre

Due dates sorted by urgency, with suggestions computed from your own history: a booster never scheduled and a parasite treatment past its usual interval.

Health diary showing the pain log and the quality of life scale side by side

Health diary

Five dated clinical logs, each on a published scale: pain, quality of life, resting respiratory rate, stool and vomiting, with a threshold that warns when a value crosses it.

Record of a dog with full identity details, the list of clinical sections and upcoming anniversaries

Pet record

Identity details, anniversaries and twenty five clinical sections on the same record, from the memory book to vaccines, from treatments to expenses.

What it does

A diary that covers the whole of everyday life.

This is not a vaccination reminder with a few extras. It is the full catalogue of what caring for an animal actually takes: medical records, prevention, food, behaviour, activity, expenses, documents, travel and emergencies, plus the working tools of practices and shops.

Who it is for

People who live with an animal, and people who work with them.

171 catalogue features are for people who have an animal at home. The rest are for those who care for animals or supply them for a living. There are only two professional workspaces though, the veterinary practice and the shop, and below you can read who has one and who does not.

  • Dedicated workspace

    Veterinarians

A practice with consulting rooms, calendar, medical records, laboratory reports, hospital stays and invoicing. Staff sign in with their own role and see only the data of that practice.

  • Dedicated workspace

    Shops and services

Storefront, catalogue, orders, deliveries, product subscriptions and appointment services such as grooming and boarding. Loyalty points are the same ones the customer collects at the practice.

  • No dedicated workspace

    Breeders

There is no breeder role and no breeding workspace. You work with an ordinary account and one profile per animal: no staff, no separate permissions, no workspace log. The dedicated page lists in full what is missing.

  • No dedicated workspace

    Shelters and rescues

There is no dedicated role here either, and no register of arrivals and departures. Places are handled with the boarding module, which lives inside the shop workspace and needs an active licence. The dedicated page says so before you try.

How to start

Three steps, and the first animal has a profile.

No installation, no credit card, no sales call. You open the site, create an account and start writing.

  1. Create the account

Email address and password. There is no sign in with external providers and no anonymous access: the security page states this along with everything else that is missing.

  2. Say who you are

The opening flow asks whether you are registering your own animals, working in a practice or running a shop, and sets the platform up accordingly.

    3 possible paths

  3. Add the first animal

Species, name, date of birth, and the profile grows as you write. A checklist shows what is still missing before the profile is complete.

Loyalty that follows you everywhere.

One points balance across every partner store and clinic: purchases and care add up to real rewards.

Open data

Every source is named, one by one.

Medicines, product recalls, toxic substances, weather, maps, growth charts: whenever a feature rests on external data, the site says which source it uses, what it receives and whether the request leaves from the server or from the browser.

20

external sources cited by at least one published feature

33

20

sources usable without any access key

The sources in use today

  • OpenStreetMap
  • Open-Meteo
  • Overpass
  • Open Pet Food Facts
  • Open-Meteo Air Quality
  • openFDA
  • PubChem
  • WSAVA
  • AAHA
  • Plumb's
  • Valhalla
  • Open-Elevation
  • Nager.Date
  • mledoze/countries
  • frankfurter.app
  • Wikipedia
  • dog.ceo
  • ACVIM
  • EMA
  • WALTHAM

A source described in the register but no longer used by any feature disappears from this list, rather than staying to inflate the count.

Security and privacy

What is switched on, and what is not.

An animal generates data that says a lot about the person caring for it: where you walk and at what time, which medicines you buy, how much you spend. That is why the security page writes only what can be checked in the code, and keeps a public list of what is missing.

  • Isolation between users and between practices

Database rules are written collection by collection, and anything not foreseen is denied. Every animal carries its owner identifier, and sharing goes through a member list with three levels.

  • Encryption in transit and at rest

Traffic travels over an encrypted channel and data stays encrypted while it sits still. The European storage region is not active though: today the data is held in the United States, and that is written down too.

  • Audit log and export

Sensitive actions inside a practice leave a trace you can read. Your data can be exported whenever you want, and the privacy rights page explains how to ask for access, correction or deletion.

  • What is not active yet

No two step verification, no scheduled backups, no independent certification and no third party audit. The full list is public, because an honest assessment needs this part as well.

Price

Simple pricing, no surprises.

Two monthly subscriptions and nothing else: Animiyo at 3.99 EUR per month and Animiyo Plus at 5.99 EUR per month with the assistant. The amounts below are the same ones the payment code knows.

Worth knowing right away: the payment system is integrated but sits behind a configuration switch. While it is off, no paid plan can be subscribed to and no charge can be made. We would rather write it here than show a purchase button that would lead nowhere.

When the assistant messages run out you can buy extra credits, 500 messages per pack. The pack price does not appear because it does not exist in the code: it is an identifier configured on the payment system.

A dog and a cat cuddling on the grass

On the web today. In your pocket, always.

Animiyo installs from your browser like a native app and writes the same data the iOS app reads: one diary, always in sync.

Worth reading

Guides and articles, written to be used.

Long form pieces on health, food, behaviour and travel, with sources cited and the date of the last update. Every piece is published only in the languages it was actually written in.

Blog

In depth pieces across 15 topics, from prevention to expenses, with links to the parts of the product that put them into practice.

Guides

Step by step procedures across 15 topics, with the estimated time, the difficulty level and what you need to have at hand.

Questions

The things people ask before trying it.

Four short answers. The full list, sorted by topic, lives in the frequently asked questions.

What is Animiyo, in one line?
The place where your animal's whole life is kept: health, prevention, food, activity, expenses and documents, shareable with whoever cares for it alongside you and with the vet.
Is there a free version?
No. Animiyo is a subscription: 3.99 EUR per month, or 5.99 EUR per month with the PetAI assistant. You can cancel anytime.
Can I subscribe right now?
Not yet. The payment system sits behind a configuration switch: while it is off no subscription starts, and in the meantime the features marked as paid stay accessible.
Is there an iPhone application?
Yes, and it is where the project began. It shares data and schema with the web platform, but it does not have every feature of the site: the comparison page says area by area what changes. The site installs from the browser and works on any phone.

Give them the diary they deserve.
