The principle is the same that governs the app's other reminders: an alert exists only if there is a date that generates it. On the medicines record, that date arises from the frequency and duration you set. Recording the therapy completely is therefore the step that makes the dose reminders and the end-of-treatment deadline appear.

   Open the animal and go to the medicines record

   Start from the record of the animal under treatment and open the section dedicated to medicines and therapies. That is where each treatment is recorded and kept together with the history.

   Enter the drug as prescribed

   Report the drug name, form and dose exactly as the vet indicated them. The trade name matters, because it helps recognise the product and avoid confusion between similar drugs.

   Set the frequency and times

   Indicate how often the drug is given, for example once or several times a day, and at the times you were prescribed. It is the frequency that generates the reminders for each dose.

   Define the start and duration of the therapy

   Enter the start date and, if the therapy has an end, the end date. For chronic therapies with no planned end, follow the vet's guidance on how to record continuity.

   Add useful notes

   Note practical details such as whether the drug goes with a full or empty stomach, any warnings or the link to the condition treated. The notes stay available at each administration.

   Save and check the reminders page

   After saving, open the reminders page and check the doses appear with the right times and deadlines. If one is missing, it is almost always because frequency or dates were not saved.

Recording the therapy is only the start: the real value lies in marking what was given and keeping the history. This way you avoid giving the same dose twice, you notice missed ones, and you reach check-ups with a clear picture to show the vet.
